Our Commitment to Fairtrade

As a household name for over 130 years, Tate & Lyle, amongst other brands selected by Aureo Group, have committed to ethical business practice through the Fairtrade foundation. With a goal to promote trade instead of aid, the concept is to enable smallholders to maintain a level of income that allows for long term planning and social improvement for producers, many of whom are operating at a subsistence level.

Through trade negotiations that aim to forge equality and eradicate exploitative practices, communities are able to fund local projects including improvements to farming techniques and the provision of schools within supplier towns and villages.

The quality of Tate & Lyle sugar is well known; as a trusted brand for more than five generations the product meets the exacting needs of customers and complies with high levels of food safety regulations and requirements. To maintain this record, over 100 tests are carried out every day in their laboratory facilities. As always, Aureo Group can be confident that it is providing its customers with quality products that are aligned to its CSR policy.

This latest product offering in our Fairtrade range of refreshment ingredients joins our coffee beans and ground coffee which we have proudly offered as Fairtrade for many years. Conforming additionally to UTZ standards, we offer customers a wide range of coffee products from around the world so that different tastes can be accommodated and all can enjoy a variety of coffees at the same time as making a difference to the lives of others.

In order to feature the Fairtrade mark on its packaging, brands must demonstrate their own commitment to social and economic standards. At Aureo we recognise the importance of accountability for our customers and by choosing to source your ingredients from us, you are joining us in the bid to sustain farming communities around the world.

Our bottled water has been supplied by Aureo for several years now. Their staff are friendly, they provide an efficient service and fast delivery. On many occasions, we have received our delivery within hours of ordering.

We have been using Aureo to provide hot water for our staff refreshments for the past two years; we have found this method an excellent alternative to boiling kettles which tend to be uneconomic and time wasting.
