When pioneering lens manufacturer Rayner recently moved to their new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Worthing, Aureo was approached to provide a design proposal for the interior landscaping.

Aureo Case Study
Interior landscaping solution lens manufacturer
A success story for British manufacturing, Rayner is the only manufacturer of intraocular lenses in the UK and has been recognised as one of the top ten British firms for achieving sustained growth and international turnover. The move heralds a new era in the company’s manufacturing capability where they currently serve over 70 countries worldwide.
Combining contemporary architecture with natural elements
To enhance the stunning modern architecture featured in the new building, interior landscaping was needed. Recognising that both air quality and employee satisfaction are greatly improved through the implementation of intelligent planting, the management team were keen to obtain the best possible outcome for its new facility and its people.
Tropical plants to create the right ambience
With an official opening deadline looming, the Aureo interior planting team were mobilised to offer support in the selection and supply of a range of tropical plants to enhance the modern offices.
A range of contemporary polished white Linea™ cabinet troughs planted with authenticate™ replica grasses for eye-level impact were chosen within the open plan offices. In addition a range of live specimen plants including Dracaena Deremensis Janet Craig & Dracaena Ulissesin polished white Cubique™ planters harmonised with the newly installed cabinets and office decor. Due to the short lead time, installation was organised outside of working hours before the official opening.
Transformation achieved
The results were a transformation to the working environment; the specification brought ambience, atmosphere and energy to the cutting-edge offices.
Lee Neal, Facilities Manager at Rayner was kind enough to let us know the company’s thoughts on the completed project:
“Feedback regarding the planting has been excellent – everyone is very happy with the look and layout so thank you for your team’s efforts.”
